Before you begin, you need to decide what you want to compare. In Pickler, you can compare any products side by side, there are no restrictions. However, to make a fair comparison, it's crucial to compare products that have a similar usecase. These are often products in the same category (bags, currogated boxes, etc).

It's also adviced to be careful with scenario products, since these products don't have to reflect an actual real life inventory product and can therefor paint a more sustainable picture than it should be.

For this reason, Pickler will show a banner when you compare products from different categories and when you include a scenario product in your comparison.

Create your comparison

Create a comparison from the impact reports overview page, or straight from the comparisons.

Option A: Impact reports overview page

  • Select products that you want to add to your comparisons, by clicking the checkboxes. Use filters, to narrow down your search.

  • Click View comparison in the floating bar that appears at the bottom.

Option B: via comparisons page

  • Click Comparisons

  • Click Create comparison. If there is another comparison active, click clear all to start from scratch.

  • Select what Products you want to add.

  • Click Add to comparison to complete.

Editing your comparison

By hovering over the product card, you see - next to the benchmark - three options appear:

  • Remove: this will remove the product from the benchmark. It will not delete it from your account.

  • Duplicate: This will duplicate the product in to a scenario product. It is an exact copy and it is also saved to your account. It's a great way of quickly changing some variables to see how it these affect the impact.

  • Edit: Opens the edit form, allowing you to change your data. It's the perfect step to take after you have duplicates a product into a scenario.

Adding more products to your comparison

Adding products is simple: click the blue + Add product button in the top right corner. This opens a modal, showing all the products in your account. From here, you can add additional products and click Add to comparison in the top right corner to complete your actions.

You can also remove products from here, by deselecting the checkboxes from the products that are already in your comparison.
