Deleting materials accross multiple products using the spreadsheet
When deleting materials in bulk using the spreadsheet, it’s important to know that all material columns must be filled consecutively without gaps. For example, if a product has values in Material 4 and Material 6, but Material 5 is empty, the import will fail. This often happens when you filter and delete a specific material (e.g. Material 5) across multiple products in Excel, while other materials (like Material 6, 7, etc.) still contain data.
To fix this, you need to shift all materials to the left after deletion so there are no empty columns in between (e.g. move Material 6 into Material 5, Material 7 into Material 6, etc.). This can be tedious because the position of materials differs per product, but it’s required to ensure a successful import.
