Why can details be 'hidden' in product passports
You can hide details on locations in product passports and comparisons to protect sensitive information that could threaten competitive edge.
Why is there a 2 week validity on PDF's?
At Pickler, we know sustainability data is constantly evolving. That's why our PDFs come with a two-week validity period. The IDEMAT database is regularly updated to reflect the latest and most accurate environmental impact information.
However, this dynamic nature means that after two weeks, a PDF might contain outdated information, potentially making any claims based on it inaccurate. To avoid this, we strongly recommend using live links instead of static PDFs. Links provide real-time access to Pickler's most up-to-date calculations, ensuring your sustainability claims stay true and reliable.
So, while PDFs are convenient, they can become outdated. By using links, you can always be sure you're working with the latest data—keeping your environmental messaging accurate and trustworthy.
Why don’t the values in the breakdown table match the total when I add them up?
The difference is purely a display/rounding effect for UI purposes, not a calculation error. It can therefor mean that when you add up the numbers yourself, you will see a slight difference in the sum of all the numbers and the total displayed in the total row of the table.
If you need the exact underlying values, you can use the Pickler API, which returns the full, unrounded numbers.
